THE MAHONES Release 30th Anniversary Album

Heralded as pioneers of the Irish punk scene, beloved six-piece outfit The Mahones, have released a special 30th Anniversary retrospective, This Is All We’ve Got To Show For It - The Best of 30 Years, released via True North Records on December 4, 2020. This comprehensive retrospective captures many special moments with surprise guests on intimate stages over the decades. The release is be available on CD, vinyl and all streaming platforms.

Formed on St. Patrick’s Day in 1990, The Mahones have been performing their distinctly ‘Canadian’ form of Irish Punk in bars, pubs and music halls around the globe, amassing a devoted fanbase in their wake, and become internationally recognized as one of the hardest working punk outfits around. The band has certainly come a long way in 30 years; from their humble beginnings performing at Irish pubs to having their song “Paint the Town Red” featured in the climactic final fight scene of the 2x Academy Award-winning film The Fighter. Throughout 1990 to 2020, the band members have come and gone, but the sound has remained constant over 11 studio albums, 2 live recordings, a collection of acoustic versions and an earlier compilation marking their 25-year milestone. The band has toured through 35 countries, headlined festivals all over the world, and humbly shared the stage with nearly all of their favourite artists.

Over the last three years, The Mahones latest albums Love - Death - Redemption, The Irish Songs and Punk Rock Saved My Life (The Covers) were released to critical praise. The Mahones 2019 highly anticipated UnPlugged album (featuring Sarah Harmer, Simon Townshend of The WHO and the return of Damhnait Doyle) brought the focus on their songwriting skills as the acoustic recording brought them into the world of Irish folk song enthusiasts. After touring worldwide in early 2020, The Mahones are eager to hit the road again in mid 2021 for The Mahones 30 Anniversary World Tour; surviving the post-Covid apocalypse with a whiskey in one hand and a Guinness in the other.
